Fall project

I've undertaken a new project.

For years, the remnants of a failed attempt at a water feature has occupied a space in my back yard, about 14' by 8' alongside the master bedroom. It was conceived as a place of bliss, with two rose bushes, a cherry tree, and a waterfall. Well, the waterfall fell into disrepair - it leaked enough to drown the cherry tree - and one rose bush died while the other was overtaken by its unappealing root stock. The ornamental grass took over.

So I've dug up all the ornamental grass - probably several hundred dollars' worth at the local nursery if it was in neat little gallon containers - and excavated the other plants. I installed a redbud that's about nine feet tall already, and I've started terraforming for a new waterfall.

Pictures as progress takes place.
